Person shot at Raleigh apartment complex

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to the Bridges at North Hills apartments at 5601 The Lakes Drive before 10:30 p.m., where witnesses said they heard several shots fired.

Witnesses at the scene said the shots came from cars in the parking lot, targeting someone on an apartment balcony.

One person was taken to a local hospital. There was no information on his or her condition.

Crime scene tape surrounded the parking lot more than six hours after the shooting while officers investigated.

There was no information available on the shooter or who police could be looking for.
