Woman found dead after fire, identified

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman found following a fire earlier this month.

Rosa Alejandra Silva, 21, was found May 6 following a fire at a building in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Potomac Avenue.

She was declared dead at 9:41 a.m.

An exam will be conducted to determine how she died, according to the sheriff's office.
