A strong season by the Nacogdoches Dragons came to an end in a winner-take-all Game 3 in this Class 5A Region II Area round playoff matchup when the Forney Jackrabbits scored five unearned runs in a 9-2 victory at Wildcat Field in Whitehouse Saturday evening.
Nacogdoches saw its season come to an end with a 21-11-3 mark, while Forney improved to 25-9-1 and will advance to the 5A Region II Quarterfinals to battle Corsicana (23-4-1) in a one-game playoff Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Jesuit.
