Man threatens employees at Las Vegas Trader Joe's, chugs wine

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating an incident at a west valley Trader Joe's Monday.

At approximately 9:28 a.m., on Monday, officers responded to the Trader Joe's located at 2315 Summa Drive near Sahara Avenue and Hughes Park Drive after reports of a robbery.

Police located a Hispanic male, later identified as Adam McKay.

According to the arrest report, McKay had stolen a bottle of wine, grabbed a corkscrew and threatened an employee who tried to stop him.

Employees said McKay exited the building and was seen talking to the bottle of wine before opening it. He then started "chugging the wine" before heading north through the property.

Police later located and arrested McKay on robbery charges.
