TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) – Vigo County Commissioners have taken the lead for a new grant for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
Commissioners have taken lead efforts to get a state grant for the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods theater.
The project has been in the works for a couple months.
County Commissioner Chris Switzer said it looks to be a multi-million dollar update.
“The money will flow through the auditors office and then will be dispersed to them,” Switzer said. “We are happy to be a part of this project.”
Switzer said the funds for the project if awarded will be handed out at the beginning of next year. Construction aims to start March of 2023.
