EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Calls were made to police about a shooting at a motel in central El Paso early Tuesday morning.
A shooting had occurred at the Budget Lodge Motel at 1301 N. Mesa Street around 3:35 a.m.
When police arrived, the scene was clear and no one stepped forward to report anything, police stated in their news release.

Later around 5:30 a.m. Samuel Lares, 34, walked into a hospital with gunshot and stab wounds, according to police.
Lares told El Paso police detectives he had been involved in an altercation with three individuals at the Budget Lodge Motel where he was assaulted., police stated.

Detectives with the Crimes Against Persons unit continue the investigation in the shooting.
