An Omaha man who was arrested for child enticement now faces five counts of possessing child pornography, according to court documents. Ricky Bennett, 36, was charged in Douglas County Court on May 13 on five counts of felony child pornography possession. The crimes allegedly occurred around Nov. 3, 2021, according to court documents.A search warrant led investigators to a hard drive containing multiple sexually explicit photos of underage girls, according to court records. That search warrant was drafted because of a 2021 investigation involving Bennett.Bennett had been arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department in Nov. 2021 for one count of sexual assault, use of computer. Investigators said during the summer of 2021, Bennett allegedly communicated through social media with an 11-year-old girl and sent explicit photos to her. Investigators allege he attempted to lure the child to engage in a sex act.Authorities said in November that they suspect there may be additional victims who have not been identified at this time.More headlines
