A Midlands company is offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest of the person responsible for assaulting one of their employees.

According to the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office, in the early morning of May 9, the shift supervisor of Hengst of North America in Camden, SC was getting out of his vehicle at work when he heard someone call his name.

Per an incident report, the employee was "struck in the head with an unknown object."

The victim described the assailant as a black male wearing a gray hoodie and is "approximately 6'0 and in his late 20s," officials say.

Deputy Mathew Gray was on the scene and observed the victim bleeding and other employees on scene tending to the victim's injury until EMS arrived.

Officials say the victim suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for days and has since been released from the hospital.
