UPDATE: Southeast Iowa fugitive captured

UPDATE: A wanted southeast Iowa fugitive has now been captured.

The Appanoose County Sheriff's Office said David Boley was arrested at his wife's home in Centerville at approximately 3:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The sheriff's office carried out a search warrant at the home of Cristina Boley at 517 West Washington Street in Centerville.

That is where they found Boley and arrested him.

He is being held on several active warrants and will most likely face multiple new charges.

The sheriff's office said Cristina Boley has been charged with aiding and abetting burglary and child endangerment.

ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities in southeast Iowa are still searching for a wanted fugitive.

Just before 10 a.m. Sunday, Appanoose County sheriff's deputies responded to the area of the 17000 block of Highway J18 for a possible sighting of David Boley.

It was reported that Boley had committed a burglary by kicking in the door of a residence on Highway J18.

The homeowner told law enforcement he confronted Boley with a gun. Boley then fled the home on foot heading west.

Boley, 33, is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, weighing 280 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair with multiple tattoos. They add that his head may be shaven now.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

The Appanoose County Sheriff's Office says no one should approach Boley and to call 911 if you see him.
