Cougars softball goes to next round of NAIA tournament

The Columbia College Cougar softball team advance to the next round of the NAIA tournament after getting the win Tuesday afternoon against Friends University.

The Cougars won 5-0 which marks their second straight shutout in Tennessee and the 25th straight win this season.

The bats of Columbia College were led by a two-run homer from Abigal Pringer and RBI's from Emily King and Athena Wheeler.

Ella Schouten pitched a complete game for CC allowing just two hits and recording nine strikeouts.

Up next - Columbia will take on the winner of game five which is scheduled to be played at 5 p.m.
