Cops responded at around 9 p.m. in the vicinity of Franklin Avenue and Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights and found an unidentified adult male lying on the roadway, unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma.

He was transported to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 41-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2014 Mercedes GL 550 was traveling westbound on Eastern Parkway when she came into contact with the man who was attempting to cross the six-lane roadway, according to police, who told the New York Daily News that he was walking outside the crosswalk when he was hit.

He was knocked to the pavement due to the impact.

The woman remained at the scene and was not injured, police said.

An investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.
