WEST HARTFORD, CT — A number of new shops are slated to open at Westfarms within the next year, officials announced this week.

In addition to the return of Abercrombie & Fitch, the mall will soon be home to a home furnishings store, a tea shop and an apparel and intimates brand.

This summer, Taiwan- and New York City-based tea shop Gong Cha will open its first Connecticut location in Westfarms (located on the mall's lower level in the center court). Gong Cha is known for its bubble teas and signature milk foam, and it has 1,650 locations in 20 countries.

Later this year, Abercrombie & Fitch will return to Westfarms in a 7,400-square-foot space located in the Nordstrom wing. The store will be complete with an Abercrombie Kids section, and will open in time to showcase its fall 2022 collection.

Next year, home furnishings shop Arhaus will open a 9,700-square-foot location on the mall's lower level. Arhaus sells heirloom quality, sustainably-sourced products, and its two-story façade and exterior entrance will face New Britain Avenue.

And in addition to the mall's new offerings, Aerie's re-vamped store will open this spring.

The intimates, activewear and swimwear shop will now be located in a 4,300-square-foot store — roughly double the size of Aerie's previous location — located on the mall's lower level near Center Court.

Its sister location, Offline by Aerie, will open in a 3,400-square-foot shop this season as well.
