SHELDON—Three people were arrested following an altercation Friday morning, May 13, at trailer No. 10 at 425 W. Seventh St. in Sheldon

The arrest of 40-year-old Sheila Marie Sundall of Sheldon stemmed from a report of her allegedly assaulting a Sheldon man at the trailer home, where she lives, according to the Sheldon Police Department.

Sundall allegedly struck the man in the hand with a metal bar and threw an ashtray that hit him in the face, cutting him.

She took the man’s credit cards and bank cards in an attempt to withdrawal and receive about $1,000 without his permission, according to the incident report.

Police monitored the trailer, and Sundall when returned about 10 a.m., she was arrested on charges of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and identity theft under $1,500.

She was transported to the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar, where she was found in possession of methamphetamine and several cut straws with meth residue.

Sundall then was further charged with introducing intoxicants or drugs into a detention facility and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Forty-one-year-old Nathan Ray Schuknecht, who also lives in the trailer, had been found sitting outside the residence earlier and gave police permission to search the trailer.

Police observed marijuana and drug paraphernalia and found 29-year-old Melea Kay Speelmon of Hartley hiding on the floor behind a bed.

Schuknecht was arrested on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Speelmon also was found to be wanted on an O’Brien County warrant for a probation violation and arrested.

She also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
