From Washington Police Department

On Sunday May 15, 2022, at approximately 9:15 pm Washington Police Department was dispatched to the 700 block of North Market Street.  The dispatched call for for service was in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, Washington Police officers located 47-year-old Herman Branch. Branch was shot in the abdomen and arm area.  He was transported to Vident Medical Center in Greenville. He is stable; but in critical condition.
