Firefighters battle early-morning blaze at North Sioux City laundry business

NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. — Firefighters from North Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff were called to a large fire at the Sioux Laundry building at 510 Centennial Dr. in North Sioux City early on Tuesday morning, May 17th.

It's unclear when the fire started, but the North Sioux City Fire Department first got a call for the fire at around 3:30 a.m., after the building was fully engulfed in flames.

This is the second time in less than two years for a devastating fire there.

A fire caused major damage in November of 2020 as well.

As of now, it looks like there's been even more damage.

Firefighters have been at the scene off and on overnight to stamp down flare-ups.

So far we haven't heard from fire officials about a possible cause of the fire.
