Delaware has started sending $300 rebate checks, when will you get yours?

Many Delawareans are expecting a $300 rebate check in the coming weeks.

The check will come in the mail, and is expected to arrive by May 31. Some Delawareans have already received it.

And while many seniors and those who didn't earn enough money to pay taxes in 2020 will still qualify for the money, they likely won't receive it until summer or early fall.

Lawmakers created the program to help residents deal with skyrocketing gas prices and the burden of inflation. The one-time payment is likely the first time the state government has created a rebate program. 

The state has created an online tool that allows residents to check the status of their rebate.
