Cleveland Asian Festival Returns Live for Two Days of Performances, Food & Fun

Sat 5/21 & Sun 5/22 @ 11AM-7PM

Yet another beloved festival has come back from the netherlands of Zoom to be a real, live gathering. For two days, the Cleveland Asian Festival will fill the streets and open spaces around Asia Plaza at East 30th and Payne.

There will be food, of course, all from local restaurants of a wide variety of Asian ethnicities. There will be entertainment on two stages, including a variety of martial arts, acrobats, dancers, music, drums, fashion show, and an Asian pop dance competition, representing the Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Nepali, Polynesian/Hawaiian and Karen/Burmese communities.

And there will again be a large marketplace, featuring hands-on activities, vendors, local businesses, government agencies, and social service and cultural organizations, everything from the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association to Zygote Press, Cuyahoga Jobs and Family Services, to Jack Casino, the FBI to Henna tattoo offerings.

Admission is free. Masks are recommended but leave your pet at home. Free vaccinations and boosters will be available from noon-4pm in the health pavilion inside Asia Plaza.
