Man dropped off at hospital with gunshot wound dies

DAYTON, OHIO (WKEF) -- A man who was dropped off at Miami Valley Hospital after suffering a gunshot wound has died.

Montgomery County Dispatch said a woman drove up to the hospital, dropped off the victim at the ambulance bay, and left the scene.

Dayton Police said the 39-year-old man later died from his injuries. Detectives were able to track down the person who dropped the victim off and speak with them. Police said the shooting may have taken place in the 2900 block of West Third Street and some evidence was recovered at that location.
