City of Charleston holding free Independence Day weekend celebration at 'The Joe'

The City of Charleston is gearing up to host a free celebration for Independence Day weekend!

The event is set to take place at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, home of the Charleston RiverDogs, on July 2, 2022.

• Good News: Wheel to Surf gives residents with disabilities a chance to experience the ocean

A concert by the Charleston Symphony will be followed by a fireworks display, which is supported by The Charleston Place.

The event is scheduled to run from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.

While free, tickets must be obtained for entry into the show.

General admission seating will be provided. Those in need of assistance will have the option to select from a limited amount of ADA seating.
