QUEENS, NY — Neighbors in northeast Queens looking to learn more about their health should head over to Alley Pond Park this weekend.

Council Member Linda Lee's office is putting on a free, community health fair at the park from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15.

Over a dozen local groups with healthcare services — including Korean Community Services and Commonpoint Queens — will attend the event, organizers said.

City departments, like the Department for the Aging and Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, will also be at the event.

In addition to learning more about neighborhood and citywide services, some groups at the health fair will offer on-site services.

New York City Test and Trace, for instance, will have a COVID testing van at the event (which is free of charge and doesn't require ID or insurance), and student nurses will provide blood pressure testing, according to organizers.

The community health fair is in partnership with State Senator John Liu and Assembly Member David Weprin, who, alongside Lee, represent constituents in northeast Queens.
