1. Make the most of Black Friday deals.
You can find the best price by comparing sale flyers and promotions and then make a budget and be sure to stick to it while shopping.
2. Read the fine print.
Some retailers may offer a percentage off the purchase but exclude certain items. Watch for companies that promote a high percentage off because the price could be artificially inflated. Carefully check the price tags, terms and conditions. Compare prices online using a secure WiFi connection.
3. Plan out the trip.
You don’t always have to wait for Black Friday to get a great deal. Many retailers release Black Friday flyers weeks in advance so consumers can plan their shopping spree. Plan exactly where to shop and what items to buy before you leave your home.
4. Do your research.
Read product reviews on highly discounted items because it could be a cheaper model or brand that is advertised and not what you expect. You can always see what other customers have to say about stores on the BBB website.
5. Know the return policy and warranty information.
If you’re buying a gift, any information about returns, exchanges, repairs and warranties should be passed on to the recipient. A gift receipt also makes it easy to return or exchange a gift if it’s not the right fit. Be sure to check the return policy to see if the item can be returned before buying.
