BRFD gives all clear after diesel fuel leak closes I-110 South at Evangeline St.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – There is some good news for local motorists on the day before Thanksgiving.

I-110 South at Evangeline St. is back open after a diesel fuel leak closed the road for almost two hours.

The fuel leak happened after an accident between an 18-wheeler and another vehicle took place at approximately 10:30 a.m.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “This accident resulted in the failure of the 18-wheeler’s fuel tanks.”

Baton Rouge Fire Department Hazardous Materials crews helped clean up the fuel leak.
