Once built, it will be called OneStaff Medical Athletic Complex and will be made up of seven full-sized multipurpose athletic fields. The city of Bennington announced plans to build the 50-acre park and athletic complex back in November 2021. It was made possible by the donation of land by Nancy Neumeyer."Neumeyer Farm" will be located between 156th Street and Bennington Road. Developers say the fields will be able to be configured in multiple ways. The development also will feature walking trails and an elevated green space to serve as a gathering spot for the community.“This project will be a game-changer for our community,” Bennington mayor Zac Johns said in November. "Neumeyer Farm" also will feature a farm-themed play area and a splash pad that can be converted into an ice rink in the winter.“Bennington has meant so much to our family,” said Nancy Neumeyer. “I’m so glad it will continue to serve the community — for perpetuity.”The Neumeyer family first settled in Bennington in the late 1800s and farmed there into the 21st century.
