Pedestrian killed on Windsor Spring Road in Augusta Monday

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating the Monday death of a pedestrian on Windsor Spring Road.

Lisa Lewis, 42, was struck by a vehicle around 11 a.m. near the 4600 block of Windsor Spring, according to a statement. She was taken to Augusta University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 11:39 a.m., it said.

The coroner's office is investigating, but there is no autopsy scheduled. Traffic was temporarily detoured to Patterson Bridge Road but the road is now clear, authorities said.
