El Paso R&B singer Khalid to release mixed tape titled 'Scenic Drive' in December

El Paso R&B singer Khalid tweeted Friday that he will release a mixed tape, "Scenic Drive," in December.

As part of his tweet, Khalid shared a video that features El Paso's Star on the Mountain, the lighted features on Interstate 10, Downtown buildings and Scenic Drive at night.

According to Hypebeast.com, Khalid has a new single, "Present," which will be part of the mixtape, out on Dec. 3.

" 'Present' is just the beginning and I love that it has a dual meaning. It feels good to be more ‘present’ after such a trying year in the pandemic and it’s also a ‘present’ for my fans that have been with me every step of the way,” he said in the article.

Khalid performed at a benefit concert for the Walmart shooting victims on Sept. 1, 2019, in El Paso. The sold-out concert raised $500,000 that went to an education fund for the victims of the mass shooting and their families.

"Scenic Drive" is set to arrive as companion piece to Khalid’s 2018 "Sun City" EP.

He also is working on a new album that is titled, "Everything is Changing." There is no word on the release date.
