S.E. Iowa man killed in head-on crash near Ottumwa

A southeast Iowa man was killed Thursday night in a head-on crash in Wapello County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened just before 6 p.m. on Highway 63 south of Ottumwa.

Troopers say Joshua Pugh, 43, of Osceola, Iowa, was traveling northbound when his car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car head-on.

The southbound vehicle was driven by Jamey Davidson, 57, of Bloomfield, Iowa.

Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Davidson's car, Alicia Aubrey, 35, of Bloomfield, was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines for treatment of injuries.

Pugh was taken to MercyOne in Des Moines.

This crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
