Cotton Candy, BBQ, Puppet Show, K9s At Smyrna Jonquil Festival

SMYRNA, GA — If you're looking for weekend events in the Smyrna area, the annual Fall Jonquil Festival is back this Saturday and Sunday, and you don't want to miss it.

The festival is scheduled from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday on the Village Green, 1282 Village Green Circle, Smyrna. More than 150 artisans from all over the Southeast region will be there featuring handmade crafts, paintings, jewelry, clothing and even furniture.

Plus, tons of food vendors will be scattered throughout the festival serving cotton candy, corn dogs, hand-dipped ice cream, candy apples, snow cones, Polish sausage, chicken sandwiches and BBQ.

Don't worry, there will also be big and small inflatables, sand art and more for the kids. Scott Thompson of Peachtree Station will be performing on the Veterans Memorial grand lawn, and Peter Hart will perform a puppet show with unique marionettes and characters that sing, dance, juggle, play fiddle, break apart and come back together, squirt water and even get launched by catapult across the stage.

Last but not least, audiences of all ages can enjoy the K9s in Flight performance showcasing K9 sports, including dock diving, high jump and Frisbee.
