Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical is coming to Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre this winter.

The beloved classic will run for one day on Sunday, Dec. 5 beginning at 3 p.m.

Based on the animated tv special, the show will bring favorite characters like Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Abominable Snow Monster, and Rudolph to life on the stage, teaching viewers that what makes you different can be what makes you special.

Tickets for the show went on sale Friday, Oct. 22, and can be purchased online HERE or at the Landmark Theatre Box Office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Children ages 1 and older are required to have their own ticket in order to attend.

When in the theatre, masks will be required at all times.

Beginning on November 1, the Landmark Theatre says it will require all visitors ages 12 and older to provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated or have received a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to the start of the show.

This is a change from their previous rule, announced in October, which required visitors to show that they have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or negative test.

In order to accommodate for the new rule, the Landmark Theatre says City Testing Centers will be conducting rapid testing on the day of the show, December 5, at 116 W. Jefferson St. From 8:30 a.m. to one hour after the show begins.

Visitors also have the option of presenting another PCR or antigen test conducted by a medical professional. At-home tests will not be accepted.
