Parts of Hillsborough Street closed this weekend due to crane installation

As part of the 301 Hillsborough Street office project, Pendo contractors will conduct a full closure of Hillsborough Street between N Dawson Street and N Harrington Street, beginning 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 thru 6 a.m. on Monday, October 25 for crane setup and signage installation.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The City of Raleigh is asking motorists to be aware over the weekend as construction will be closing parts of Hillsborough Street.

The city says to expect a full closure of Hillsborough Street between North Dawson Street and North Harrington Street for construction work. The closure is due to the 301 Hillsborough Street office project.

Pendo contractors will be conducting the closure beginning 6 p.m. on Friday, October 22, thru 6 a.m. on Monday, October 25. During this time crews will be installing a crane as well as signage.

The city has provided the following detours during the closure:

•  Motorists traveling westbound on Hillsborough Street will take a left on South Dawson Street and then a right onto West Morgan Street.

•  Motorists traveling eastbound on Hillsborough Street will take a right on South Harrington Street and then a left on West Morgan Street.

The city says traffic message boards will also be in place to assist drivers.
