Employees are emotionally shaken but uninjured after two 7-Eleven stores in Mishawaka and South Bend were robbed at gun point early Friday morning.

It marks the fourth robbery at a 7-Eleven in Mishawaka since the beginning of September.

We jave security video from one of the armed robberies overnight.

The manager of the Mishawaka 7-Eleven robbed overnight says she just wants them to stop.

Around 2 a.m. Friday morning, the 7-Eleven on East 12th Main Street in Mishawaka was robbed at gunpoint.

Then at about 3:40 a.m., another 7-eleven was robbed in South Bend on LaSalle by someone with the same weapon and clothing description.

Since September, there have been four armed robberies in Mishawaka targeted at the 7-Elevens on East 12th St. and Burket.

The owners of the stores believe the robberies are connected, with one person holding the door while the other goes in with a gun and demands cash.

Melissa Milbourn, the manager of the 7-Eleven on East 12th, doesn’t understand why people would want to do this to her family’s small business

“Two gentlemen. One came in, one stood at the door, had gloves on, held the door. The other guy came in with a gun, took my girl and took her behind the counter. Said he wanted all the money. She opened both registers, gave him all the money and then he wanted to know if she could get into the safe and she can’t, so and then they left. It was less than two minutes they were in and out.“

A witness who was in the area of the Mishawaka robbery followed the suspect’s car and told police it was a dark-colored, 4 door sedan.

The armed suspects shot a round of gunfire and that’s when the witness stopped following.

All the armed robberies are still being investigated by the Mishawaka and South Bend police, and if you have any information about the robberies, you can contact the South Bend or Mishawaka Detective Bureau or leave an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers: 574-288-STOP.
