Kansas City, MO – If you're wanting to hire help to hang the Christmas lights, don't wait until you're full of Halloween candy, or you'll likely have to wait until you're full of turkey.

“Business is booming right now,” says Alessandro Sandford, owner of Holiday FX, a company that strings lights onto homes around the KC Metro.

For a professional service like this, homeowners pay about about $1,000 to start, and $500 to $600 every year after that for maintenance and upkeep.

Sanford says people started calling in September to start decorating their houses and front yards. So far his company has hung lights on 200 homes.

“The response is better than in years past.  We love to get started early because we love spreading the Holiday spirit.  That’s why I do this.  This is a feel good industry,” said Sandford.

“We start planning in August and start getting calls by mid-September.  That’s also when we change our ring tones to Christmas music,” said Sanford.

Sanford says their schedule is filling quickly and customers would likely have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get it doewn.
