A place to call home: 16-year-old boy hoping to be adopted describes himself as funny, brave and caring
There are more than 12,000 children in foster care in North Carolina. Sixteen-year-old Toy is one of those children in need of a place to call home.
The Children's Home Society of North Carolina describes Toy as a bright boy who likes to be independent and active. He loves being outdoors running and playing sports. He also likes to play video games and CHS said Toy has a sense of humor and enjoys being playful.
Toy is looking for a caring and fun family who will support him in school and will let him participate in team sports, his favorite being basketball.
WXII 12's Audrey Biesk met Toy to get to know him better and walked around the Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville. When asked what three words Toy would use to describe himself he said, "funny, brave and caring."
When he thinks of what family means to him, Toy said, “Really family just means that people care about you and be able to support you and care for you.”
Toy hopes to have a puppy German shepherd one day so he can help train it.
Please call CHS at 336-335-9256 to help give Toy a loving permanent place to call home.
