DMPD identifies man killed in motorcycle crash
Authorities have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash earlier this week. At about 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, Des Moines police were called to the 6500 block of Highway 28 on reports of a single-vehicle crash. When first responders arrived, they found 37-year-old Kyle Eugene Robert Hogue critically injured. The Des Moines Police Department said Hogue was transferred to a local hospital where he died. DMPD's Sgt. Paul Parizek said the investigation indicates excessive speed and failure to maintain control contributed to the crash. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the crash.
