Gov. Tom Wolf spoke at the headquarters for the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers Thursday afternoon.
He laid out his argument on several new pieces of legislation to address the shortage of workers in the state, saying it begins with businesses creating better pay and enhanced workplace safety.

The governor signed an executive order this morning and called on the General Assembly to finally pass legislation that supports workers, citing the exodus of workers leaving their jobs across the country.
"4.3-million people voluntarily left their jobs in August. 4.3-million people left their jobs voluntarily. many of them were leaving their work for better pay," Wolf said.
Wolf is leaning on several pieces of legislation to push his labor agenda, all of which must pass in the state legislature.
