A Maryland man was arrested in Morgantown on Wednesday after police said he was reported for taking pictures of minors in a restroom at Morgantown High School.

John Alexander Knoll Jr., 21, is charged with two counts of use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct, according to a news release from the Morgantown Police Department.

Knoll, of Annapolis, Md., was initially accused of taking pictures of a juvenile male in a restroom at the school during a youth basketball game Oct. 17. He was detained at the game by an off-duty officer until uniformed officers arrived.

During an investigation, Morgantown police said they learned of another victim in a similar alleged incident that occurred two weeks earlier.

Knoll was arrested Wednesday at his residence in Morgantown. He was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court, where his bail was set at $50,000.

The incidents remain under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Morgantown Police Department Detective Division at 304-284-7454.
