LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's restaurant scene might be getting a little more flavorful soon. Jack in the Box has picked a potential location for its Louisville branch.
The company filed documents with Metro Government to build the restaurant at 3232 Bardstown Road.
That's the site of a former Steak n' Shake near the Watterson Expressway.
Jack In The Box had originally announced Louisville would be getting its own location last year.
The company said it would expand with dozens of new restaurants in the coming year, including into other locations like Salt Lake City and Kansas City. So far there are locations in 15 states including Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee according to their website.
In his earlier statement, CEO Darin Harris said there is sizable demand for Jack in the Box.
“Current and prospective operators know the business opportunity available to them and they are motivated to grow their portfolios with Jack,” Harris said. “We’re really excited about the progress we’ve made in the development space, but this is just the beginning."
