FWP announces Fort Owen State Park will close for winter Nov. 1

MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced Fort Owen State Park will close for the winter season on Nov. 1.

The park will reopen March 1.

FWP released this information on Thursday:

Fort Owen State Park near Stevensville will close for the winter season on November 1 and reopen on March 1, 2022. The seasonal closure includes all park lands and buildings, including the new parking area that was completed in May 2021.

The nearby John Owen Fishing Access Site is separate from the state park and remains open year-round.
