DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) – Over a month has passed since 18-year-old Rhoneal McDonald was seriously injured after a car hit him as he waited for his school bus. In that time, the driver and the vehicle they drove have still not been located, and Dayton Police Department Detectives are asking for the community’s help.

McDonald, who is autistic, is still recovering from the crash that happened at around 6:45 a.m. on September 15. Witnesses say that, at the time of the crash, he was standing on the sidewalk. A vehicle, which Detectives believe to be a gray or black 2010-2015 Chevrolet Equinox, left the roadway and crashed into McDonald before driving northbound on N. Main Street. After the incident, the vehicle likely has front and passenger side damage. The headlights were also out on one side, and the passenger side headlight assembly might be completely missing. The vehicle should also be missing a silver trim piece from the top half of the grille.
