2 shooting victims arrive at Dayton hospital after report of vehicles shooting at each other

DAYTON — People in two vehicles were reported as shooting at each other shortly before two shooting victims arrived at a Dayton hospital, according to dispatch records.

According to Dayton Police, dispatchers received calls around 1:20 p.m. about the occupants of two cars reportedly shooting at each other on Salem Ave.

Two people later arrived at Kettering Health Dayton hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Police received additional information that the incident may have occurred at a barber shop on Hillcrest Ave. Police checked the location, but did not find anything. Crews checked out nearby barber shops and found one on the 3100 block of Salem Ave. that was locked up and appeared to be a crime scene.

Detectives from the Violent Offender Unit are investigating the incident.
