Landlords: Resettlement starts at IndianaHousingNow.org

INDIANA – The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) is partnering with federal and state agencies and a network of nonprofits to promote the housing resource IndianaHousingNow.org as a resource for any Afghans who resettle in Indiana and for Hoosiers overall.

IHCDA is working with the Department of Homeland Security as well the Family and Social Services Administration to ensure evacuees who resettle in Indiana are able to find housing and other resources. This partnership helps by providing all available rental properties in one centralized place.

IHCDA urges landlords to list their fair market units on Indiana Housing Now so that users can search units by the Indiana county in which they wish to live. This service is free to all landlords and renters and is an easy-to-use tool to promote stable housing in Indiana.

Affordable housing developments with funding from IHCDA are required to post their available units on this site. IHCDA strongly encourages and requests that all other Indiana landlords list their units as well to provide a centralized listing of housing availability.

Through IndianaHousingNow.org, Hoosiers can also apply for rental assistance, low-income energy, and water assistance programs.
