Tractor trailer crashes through guardrail, hits car head on in devastating crash

SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB) — A mid morning crash near Exit 25 westbound has claimed the life of one driver.

State Police say at around 10:00 AM the tractor trailer was traveling eastbound when it crossed the median and through the guardrail, striking another vehicle head on.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Police have not released the names of the driver of either vehicles.

Two passengers in the tractor trailer were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
