CHESTERFIELD — A Prince George motorcyclist was killed late Wednesday night on Interstate 95 southbound, state police said.

King H. Nguyen, 24, died when his 2021 BMW motorcycle struck a tree that had fallen across the right and center lanes of the highway about a mile north of the Willis Road exit, state police Sgt. Dylan Davenport said. Davenport said the impact of the crash threw Nguyen from his bike and killed him instantly.

He was wearing a helmet.

An investigation is ongoing.

The victim's sister, Hana Nguyen, wrote on Facebook that her brother was on his way home from school when the wreck happened.

"I don't want to believe it," she posted. "My brother is gone."
