ALEXANDRA: WE’RE LEARNING MORE ABOUT ANOTHER PEDESTRIAN WHO W HIT AND KILLED HIGHWAY 77. THIS TIME, IN LINCOLN. POLICE SAY THE MAN WAS PICKING UP DEBRIS AT THE TIME. POLICE SAY 56-YEAR-OLD TIMOTHY BEEM HAD PULLED OVER ON THE SHOULDER WEDNESDAY MORNING, NEAR ROSA PARKS WAY. OFFICERS FOUND TWO DRIVERS IN THE AREA AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. Lincoln Police have identified the pedestrian killed early Wednesday morning when he was hit by a car on Highway 77. Police said Timothy Beem, 56, was pulled over on the shoulder near Rosa Parks Way trying to retrieve some debris when he was struck. Witnesses told officers that a multi-colored 2006 Inifiniti sedan and a brown 2007 Chevrolet Malibu sedan were southbound on Highway 77 between W. O Street and Van Dorn at the time of the accident. The driver of both vehicles have been located and the drivers have been interviewed. No citations have been issued at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
