Nixon-era HBO series filming in town

Film production in Riviera Village continued Monday morning with a 1970s scene at Elena Avenue, part of a five-part HBO series titled “White House Plumbers,” starring Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux.

The crew has film permits running from Oct. 14 – 20, both exteriors and interiors — including overnight shoots — in Riviera Village at Elena and Via El Prado, Via Valencia and Catalina, and near Seaside Lagoon, in King Harbor.

Clean-up will extend through Oct. 22. Yellow and black “WTP” signs around town point cast and crew to filming locations.

Harrelson and Theroux play E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, members of the Richard Nixon administration during Watergate.
