Free pet adoptions in Jacksonville over the next few days amid full shelters

Jacksonville FL — On Wednesday, The Jacksonville Humane Society announced that its organization and Animal Care and Protective Services currently have a high number of animals in shelters so over the next few days there will be several no-cost pet adoption events.

JHS says Thursday at its location on Beach Boulevard, Vystar Credit Union will be covering adoption fees for all dogs and cats adopted between 12 and 7 PM. Then on Saturday, JHS will be holding a free adoption event at Subaru of Jacksonville on Atlantic Boulevard from 10 AM until 2 PM. We’re told the dealership will be donating $100 to JHS each time a dog 30 pounds or more is adopted.

JHS says all pets will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped at the time of adoption. Additional fees may apply.
