Man killed after shooting in east Bakersfield

Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A man is dead after a shooting in east Bakersfield.

According to BPD, at around 1:44 p.m., officers were called to the 800 block of 31st Street for a ShotSpotter activation.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
