An investigation is underway in the Inglenook area of Birmingham after one person was shot Wednesday afternoon.Birmingham police Officer Truman Fitzgerald said east precinct officers responded to the 3900 block of 39th Court North around 4 p.m. Wednesday on a report of multiple shots fired. At the scene, officers found a man lying on the porch of a residence with a gunshot wound.Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Fitzgerald said two persons of interest are in custody.The motive surrounding the shooting is under investigation.Grab the WVTM 13 app for the latest updates on this developing story.
