A suspect wanted in a Niagara County stabbing and a law enforcement officer were injured during a high-speed chase that ended on Dewey Avenue near Selye Terrace.

U.S. Marshals, New York State Police, and Rochester Police were involved.

The suspect has been identified as 28-year old Marques Green, of Niagara Falls. He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The charges stem from an investigation into the physical assault and stabbing of a 33-year old Niagara Falls man that occurred in the early morning hours of Oct. 20 in Wheatfield.

The investigation led to Green being located in the City of Rochester, where he was taken into custody. Green was transported back to the Niagara County Jail.

The victim's name will not be released. He is in critical condition at this time.
