Some Iowans are going to have to punch in a few more numbers when making local calls starting this weekend.Specifically, it applies to people living in the 515 or 319 area codes.Those Iowans are going to have to punch in those first three numbers if they want their call to go through.The change is to accommodate the new 988 code to reach the new National Suicide Prevention Hotline; however, 911 and 211 will not be affected.

Some Iowans are going to have to punch in a few more numbers when making local calls starting this weekend.
Specifically, it applies to people living in the 515 or 319 area codes.

Those Iowans are going to have to punch in those first three numbers if they want their call to go through.
