PHOENIX — Scottsdale has released the lineup for its monthlong celebration of the holiday season which is set to get underway in late November.

Scottsdazzle begins Nov. 27 and will take place at various locations around Old Town Scottsdale through Dec. 31, according to a press release.

“We’re so proud that Scottsdazzle has become such a well-received event for our beloved community,” Karen Churchard, director of tourism and events for Scottsdale, said in the release.

“With each year, we strive to present new and different ways for families, friends, neighbors and loved ones to get involved in any or all of the Scottsdazzle activities as they celebrate the season. Each event is intended to encourage our residents to get into the festive spirit in a meaningful way.”

It all gets started with the signature Sing-Along & Tree Lighting Ceremony, where a new holiday tree will be unveiled that is promised to dazzle and bring more beauty and light to the area. MusicaNova Orchestra and local celebrities will lead the sing-along of classic Christmas tunes, according to the release.

Other events include a cowboy-style Christmas event with live performances from a country-western band on Dec. 5, the Gold Palette ArtWalk on Dec. 9 and the Miracle of Roses Pageant at Old Adobe Mission on Dec. 12, which is followed by a live nativity scene the next weekend at the same location.

There are also events that take place multiple times throughout the month, including the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market, puzzle rides, crafting events, floral workshops, chances to meet Santa and nightly opportunities to see holiday lights at McCormick Stillman Railroad Park.

Full event information can be found online.

Local retailers and restaurants in the city will also participate in the monthlong celebration; offering incentives for people to dine, drink and shop at Scottsdale stores throughout the season, according to the release.

Scottsdazzle was developed by city officials in 2015 as a way to bring the community together, according to the website, and in its sixth year now serves as the area’s signature holiday event.

We want to hear from you.
